Did you know? It’s a legal requirement for all Homestay properties on the Isle of Man to be registered with the Department for Enterprise. Homestay IOM Ltd operates the official Homestay Scheme on behalf of the Government to ensure all accommodations meet the highest standards.
By registering, you’ll contribute to visitor safety and satisfaction by adhering to key legal, health and safety, and accommodation quality standards.

How the Process Works
Follow these simple steps to get started:
- Review the Information Pack
Download and read the comprehensive Host Information Pack to ensure you understand the requirements and guidelines for registering your property. - Register Your Property
Complete the online registration form with all required details about your property. - Verification and Invoice
Once we receive your registration, our team will review the details provided and issue an invoice for the registration fee. - Inspection Appointment
After payment, we will contact you to arrange an inspection of your property. This ensures your property meets all necessary standards for legal compliance and guest safety.
Important Notes
- Non-Refundable Fee: Please ensure your property meets the criteria outlined in the Information Pack before proceeding. If your property fails inspection, the registration fee is non-refundable.
- Safety First: Adhering to our standards is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors staying in your accommodation.
